New Morris Dancing forum
« on: April 17, 2008, 12:09:05 PM »

I've noticed that a lot of you are involved with Morris so I'm announcing this here!

There is a new Morris Dancing webforum.

It's all pretty quiet over there right now, as it's so new, so please feel free to jump right in.  It is totally free to register and use.

Please pass the message on - mention it at your Morris practices and to anyone who might be interested!

Oh no, not another forum. What with forums, Usenet and Ebay searches, I seem to have little time left for random Googling. I'll never get to the end of the Internet at this rate.

I thought I might as well sign up so I did and they were supposed to be emailing me to let me know I was activated or something like that - but they haven't. I can now understand why it's a bit quiet on there....

welcome back Mike ....

Thanks Brian. For those who don't know, I got a virus which badly damaged my heart and other organs and nearly had to have a transplant - in fact I nearly ended up in the big session with Oscar Woods and Scan Tester - but I'm now making a good recovery with the original equipment still in place if currently assisted by lots of pills. A scary episode. Anyhow, back to the Topic......

Hm.  Yes.  Odd glitch in the system that.

Everyone who has registered IS active, but it doesn't seem to be sending out the emails to tell you that you're active.  Which is nice.

So I've removed the restriction; new members can now post straight away.  I hope this won't lead to a deluge of spam bots; it doesn't seem to have done so far.

Just log in with the name and password you chose when you signed up; I promise all users have been activated!

Now that's just like going straight to Mornington Crescent which I'm sure isn't on.

If the last page of the internet is stored within the Mandolin Cafe, that must make it part of the Restaurant at the end of the Universe!

And, of course, you would then need approval to use the 42 Intergalactic Rules of Mornington Crescent to stand any chance of getting there.

So you're right Roy - its probably not on!

Then again if you go via Milliways (6 impossible things before breakfast, etc.....)

That means it will be a long time before you reach it, unless you have access to a local Time Lord. Thus leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the new Morris Dancing Forum! (phew back on topic..)
But don't forget to invest that penny in the savings account for the meal at Milliways - apparently they recommend the steak.

For a second MM I thought you were referring to Mike's near passage into the next world ;)

Glad to hear you're on the mend, Mike and best wishes for as full a recovery as possible.
