Two Miles To Tulla
« on: October 10, 2010, 11:55:11 AM »

Yesterday I bought a cd called "Two Miles To Tulla" with Larry Gavin on BC box, Charlie Lennon on piano, and Michael O'Rourke on fiddle. It's one of the best recordings of Irish music I've heard. The tunes flow along but not at stupid speeds so you can hear what's going on. It now has first place in my car player.
The sleeve mentions the website twomilestotulla.com but it didn't work on my pc. Anyway, if you get a chance to buy a copy, do it. The money won't be wasted.

Hi Nigel, this one works for me but takes a while to load... could be their website or my c**p download speed ::)

Very listenable, much prefer the steady pace to the common breakneck speed ;)

That's the East Clare style for you, totally laid back.  I love it, partly because it shares much with the Northumbrian style.
