Hi Viljo

There is also an accordion museum in Castlefidardo.  They don't just have accordions built in Castelfidardo so they might be able to help.

Mariano Dallape' - La sua fisarmonica e le fisarmoniche di stradella but it is only in Italian with too many pages. I haven't found any transaltions for this...

I'll take some photos and e-mail them to you if you'd like.
Yes, please.

Where would the C note be located for this to be C-griff?

You can find the layouts from Finnish Wikipedia. The Finnish layout is the first layoutpicture.

I have taken a picture from one book. The original picture is taken in 1899. I think I'm seeking something like this:

http://www.vapaalehdykka.net/dallape.jpg (Third in the middle)

And one more thing: It appears that in most of the old pictures, which I have seen, is not valid for identify the button layout because buttons shows to be white.

My Dallape has the exact same marquetry as the diatonic instrument this guy is attempting to play http://www.expertvillage.com/video/35805_accordion-music-types-six.htm

It's also very similar to this CBA except that the oustside row is the closest to the chin(the first button is an air-release) and the basses are 5 deep.

Watched his series of videos, not being an expert myself http://www.expertvillage.com/video/35812_accordion-music-types-thirteen.htm left one of us a little confused!

Well, he seems like a nice fellow, but Expert? "club system popular nowadays in Ireland". I have not met anyone playing irish music on the club so far...

There are a number of Accordion Museums in Denmark, with instruments from that era. Perhaps they will have a Dallape.

I can help with Italian-English translations, but bear in mind the people working on them will be volunteers so long texts may take a long time!

Let me know.

On the second picture there are at least two old accordion with Finnish griff. I sent them an email - hope I get an answer. They have more accordions than I have seen with one look, and I think I have to manage myself to this place some day :-*  Perhaps I should have a round starting from Sweden, then Denmark and finally Oslo. In Oslo there is a museum for bandoneons.
