Anahata: when were you with Angel?
Our current Foreman was there'78-'81 ish.....
When you mentioned this the other day I asked him if he was there at the same time but he didn't think you were.

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!

Much later - early 1990s till they disbanded in about 2001.

I can guide you in the direction of Rapper teams in the U.S.
They have just had D.A.R.T. (Dance America Rapper Tournament) at which 3 British teams competed (coming 1st & 3rd, Thrales & Sallyport).http://www.dart2010.org/.
Also Rapper Online has a list of Rapper teams, inc U.S. based. http://www.rapper.org.uk/teams/
Cheers

In the US, you don't hear much about morris dancing but I won't resign myself to believing that it's completely absent. I'm especially interested in any sides west of the Mississippi, but anywhere, really. Does such a thing exist? Google turned up a few hits, but not much. If there are American sides I'd be interested to know where they are, who they are, and where they perform! Any commentary on the difficulty or nature of same is also appreciated. Thanks.
Chris

Yes, there are lots of sides out here on the west coast. I'm a member of Bridgetown Morris in Portland, Oregon. Portland also boasts a mixed side called Renegade Rose. There are quite number of sides in the Seattle area though I don't know their names. We all meet in Seattle for the Folk Life festival. Some stage dancing and lots of guerilla dancing in the paths and walkways. I also know there are a number of sides in California and an ale every spring. You might want to look into the Midwest Morris Ale that travels all over the central US.

We've had visits from Shepherdstown Morris and the White Rats, although we apparently didn't merit the full treatment or maybe they felt English sensibilities woldn't run to sewn on bells...
