Here's my contribution to the Christmas theme... Three well known Swedish (probably German originally) Christmas songs, sadly it's the wrong key for me to sing them.

This hasn't been too popular so far :( This is my attempt. Based on the Sussex Carol, but with odd things spliced in, including this month's TOTM...

(I know that this isn't perfect, but it was really quite difficult to do, in terms of brain power :P)

Nice one, Ukebert.  I reckon in this weather, any side would be happy to dance at that speed - without the slows!

Up until yesterday, we'd missed out on the snow here.  However, this morning I woke to find the garden full of the stuff.  So, I took my camera out to see what I could find...

(In all respects, this was a 'do stuff and see how it turns out' job....  :o )
Was I alone or did LDT also hear the Blaydon Races juggled in out there amongst the  improvisations!!??

Er, dunno.  Maybe I should record Blaydon Races too and see if it turns out any different?

I had the pleasure to play for a seasonal tea dance yesterday and Sheila took some video from which I compiled a short Christmas theme vid, (one candidate for next months TOTM is buried in here somewhere). A lineup without safety nets so rough and ready! No prizes for identifying the tunes and dances.

Ho! Ho! Ho! It's time for another theme! As ever, late entries are always welcome - post away!

Cheers,

Clive

Well I know Christmas is long over, but Winter is not, at my house, anyway. Three good snows this week! So I guess I'm not too far behind on the ToTM thing :|bl.  I know it would take me another month or two to get something together for Playford. Anyway, here's a winter tune, "The Peat Fire Flame", on my recently de-cajuned Weltmeister four stop. Also accompanied by guitar and my newly acquired tenor ukulele.

Lovely sound, but I can't see your pretty pics - your video is private! Can you tweak it please?

It said private the first time I tried, but it's OK now, a few hours later...
A nice tune - I already knew it but don't play it much - I think I should have another go at it.

Works fine for me, too, and I'm glad it does. What a treat! I'm off to look for the dots and give it a try myself.
