(help needed) Tune: Snow o'er the boots
« on: December 07, 2010, 11:45:13 AM »

Okay...this is a bit of an experiment. Trying to write a tune purely in ABC and using the playback to 'judge' if it sounds okay or not.
Help! I don't know if I've done it right or not. Its supposed to be a hornpipe....

And don't forget that in the title, the word "the" is not required. Or at least it ought to be reduced to a Yorkshire " t' "
So the full title should be "Snow o'er t' boots"  - pronounced "Snooort boo-its;D

In our part of God's Own County it would be pronounced "Snaw ovver ' boo's" (Snovvr'boo's). The "T" is a glottal stop in nearly all cases  :|glug

I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.
