Reyes del Camino
« on: December 10, 2010, 01:18:20 AM »

My favorite accordionist from Mexico is Ramiro Gutierrez Ibarra. For many years he played his 3-row Gabbanelli with Los Reyes del Camino (The Kings of the Road) from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

I own many compact discs from DISA records that feature his unique style.

I was watching some NEW Reyes del Camino videos on You-Tube and Ramiro seems conspicuously absent.

Perhaps someone will find this message whilst doing a search and be able to tell me what happened to Ramiro.

I am still trying to find Ramiro, my favorite acordeonista from Mexico.

Whenever I search for his name, I invariably find the melodeon forum and my original post above.

Ramiro Gutierrez Ibarra is an amazing accordionist. He seems to have vanished off the face of the earth.

The sound of Los Reyes del Camino is just not the same without him on acordeon.
