OK. Got my CD today, but no music i.e. dots. Not that I can read them anyway. Would help for a bit of button numbering.

I'm doing, "Molly Dance Tunes" in the morning and found this on You know where.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCw2pTw4mdE

I'll add more as and when.

Also going for the French thing in the afternoon.

Calls it Schottishsche a Virmoux. I have it as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRTBwLh03Tk  Just the spelling. Did this on tune of the month French theme

Anyone taking Melnet badges for sale?
 :||:  (:)

Rumour has it that Zubz will give me the badges to sell there. If you hear someone shouting a good deal like 'two for a pand' as if at Petticoat Lane market then that will be me with the goods  :P

More details to follow  ::)

I've got 2 melnet badges - I'm planning to wear one and attach one to my melodeon strap (I'm guessing mine won't be the only Chinese pokerwork there, so will help stop confusion). I'm also planning to add my username to the badges with bits of sticky address label, but I'm a bit cack-handed, so the result may be less than totally legible.

The dodgy gear will be outside Chas  :P

Just mailed Katie to check that is was okay to sell the badges there and it is. I may be able to leave the badges at the desk as you go in the hall with an honesty box.........75p per badge or two for a pound.
Have you found the badges yet  ;D Zubz

not pinning them to the inside of a jacket and asking 'wanna buy a badge' surreptitiously to passersby

I sent PDFs of dots and MP3s of music to Katie long ago. She compiles/duplicates them and sends them out, but she did give the impression that some tutors take quite a long time to respond with their material.
Also that not all of them supply music, so that might explain why some got CD but not dots.

But Susi, if you're still in Sweden maybe the post it taking a bit longer to reach you?
Hang on,  ??? Chas is in Sweden also...

Anyway, if anyone else needs William Clarke dots or recordings for either of our workshops, I can supply on request. But not for anyone else's workshops  :D

Yes, it's weird I didn't receive mine the same day as Chas!!! He even lives further north than I do! I hope it'll be here tomorrow. But Katie sent me the confirmation by e-mail as well, just in case. (Thanks Katie!!!)

It seems we were the only ones to bother with printed music.
Katie herself doesn't usually recommend use of dots, but she herself said we should do this time  because so many concertina players will really want them.  ???

I appreciate having the dots as I don't play by ear.  :|bl If there's no dots provided at workshops I spend ages looking for the ABC online.

I don't usually use dots for squeezeboxes but it was good to have them for the concertina tunes, I'm so new with the concertina that it helped me figure out the tunes quickly. I've played them through. Very nice tunes indeed, excellent choice Anahata, quite easy tunes but with some trickiness in them that helps develop playing skills.

For those who are devotees of the steam horse on the iron road and are heading for M&MD, I have just been informed that Oliver Cromwell is due to pass within a couple of miles of Mendlesham hauling a train from Liverpool St. to Norwich and then on to the North Norfolk Railway's special event weekend via Sheringham. Time is likely to be somewhere between 11 and 12, will advise if a url for the timetable or a more accurate timing becomes known (these tend to be as ficticious as the regular timetables due to fitting around engineering work !).

Might possibly match lunchtime or be of interest to drivers / families / followers amusing themselves while sessions are in progress.

I'm on my way to Ireland and will practice concertina tunes in the car while we drive around Cork and Kerry. Looking forward to seeing you people next week!

Hi sandy
Can you reserve me a quid's worth please? Are there really on 2 in a pound? Didn't think they were that heavy!
If I haven't found you by the evening then I have broken down somewhere between Dorset and Suffolk!
