Here we go...
My offering of La Marianne
That's marvelous!  And the basses really are exquisite.  Very much to learn from.

if you play it by accident and you like it, it's a bu**er to try and remember what happened !
Some of my best musical ideas were the ones that happened by accident and luckily I did remember/work out what I'd just done!

..doh

I very much like the drone on the D. Hope you don't mind if I pinch it just for a couple of bars at some point. The tune is def. growing on me but I'll have to stop myself from taking the major jazz route  >:E

Feel free. I've nicked lots of ideas off other melnetters (yourself included) - and it seems to me that B music is just asking for a drone. It might help that I first played the tune with a hurdy gurdy player some years ago, of course.

No, no, let's hear the jazz too - please, if it works?

Having thought a bit and gone away for a few days the ground has pretty much been brilliantly covered.

THis is a 'straight to tape' of what was left of my thoughts when I came back, definitely rusty fingers and warts'n all.

Hi folkie Bill, Great musicality and seems you have a real touch for playing.
I myself like your one row work very much. Hope to see more of you doing what
comes natural to you. thanks for the video

That's very nice - danceable and full of the sort of variations one might improvise when playing for live dancers.

Well, I thought I'd have a go, still trying to get to grips with the 3 row and the old fingers forget where the buttons are once the recorder is switched on  ;D

Super version. I heard this tune 19 years ago and had never 'moved it on'.  Your decorations have really inspired me.  Thanks

I bought the digi recorder as a Christmas pressie for myself, the box was a gift about 7 months ago, so I figured I'd better learn to play it  :||:
Thanks,Chris, I printed the music off from Steve's ABC and just played what I saw (hence all the 'variations' (wrong notes))  :D
It was a first attempt at using onmvoice, it's got to be simple for me to use it!

Slightly heavy handed version I think but pleased considering the dog barked through the first two takes  >:E

Gone for more atmosphere rather than danceability. (and that's hopefully not just the noise of the computer fan)

Played on Hohner pressedwood

cheers

@Sandy

Very sweet!  Love the attack you've got and the slight syncopation at the end of phrases.  Amazing how many ways there are to do a tune.
