I am so chuffed with the comments about my playing style. There have been four or five 'Eureka' learning moments in the last two years. I'll hopefully write them down and put them on the teaching and learning page tomorrow. (All have come from workshops).

sorry, slight delay, will try tomorrow if possible  (:)

powerful yet not 'pushy', a fine line but nicely drawn!

It's nice to hear some well played pieces, broadening the learning experience and something to aspire to.
...blimey sounds a bit profound for me  ;)

I think I'm starting to get most of the notes in roughly the right order...... sometimes!

Sandy,
I loved your interpretation and do hope you are able to post comments about how you accomplished it. If I created any doubts in my previous post, I apologize for not making my intent perfectly clear. Please share your comments so I can learn from them.

to doggy, the above remark made by you was very painful for me to read.
i read sarcasim and meanness in it.

Larry,
My intent in posting about Sandy's TOTM was genuine admiration of her performance. In retrospect I do see how you (and perhaps others) could have interpreted it differently. Thanks for pointing out the alternate interpretation -- which might have been taken as a stinging slap rather than as a glowing compliment -- and thereby allowing me to clear this up.

Doc

You have absolutely no need at all to apologise. I only took your comment, like others, as a compliment.

Larry, I'm sure your reply was just an honest misunderstanding and hope the comments that followed have straightened things out a bit.

cheers
Sandy

My contribution for this month can be found at http://www.onmvoice.com/play.php?a=37894. Sorry, I don't yet have the kit to post to YouTube. This is the first TOTM that I haven't had to learn from scratch so it was a little easier for me. It's short and to the point with a little variation second time round.

Cheers,

Dave

Good solid bass, some nice syncopation and colourful variation!
Thanks Dave - enjoyed that.

Thanks for that! Hadn't really thought of it as "powerful" but I do hear what you mean. Will need to temper that!

Cheers

Super off beat swing. Really lifts the tune. The chunked chords toward the end were equally pleasant to the ear.

Das-Man has always already taken the apprehension of these possibilities-of-being away from Dasein.

Very nice!
BTW - each time I listen to something on omnivoice I search but cannot find the volume adjuster anywhere - on the play bar, below, on the big blue note - where is it pleeeeeze?

It's cunningly disguised in the playback/progress bar. If you hover your mouse over that section you will see a control appears on the far right hand side. Grab that and pull it over to the left to reduce the volume.

Loose? Pah! Beautifully played, with much great variation.
And all done upside down too - most impressive.  ;)

Chris, if this was a comment on my version (here) than thanks - I am aiming to give it a swing and lift, so much appreciated. (Your comment followed my posting, but if it was for someone else, then  :|bl)
