Please forgive this question which will seem very simple to all you computer whizz kids out there, but ...
I wanted to just put into the calendar the date of our sessions here in Retford, the bottom of the claendar said post event here, so I clicked on that, but it looks as if it would then put it into a thread cos it wanted thread title etc.  Is that right??  do I have to create a thread in order to put an event on the calendar??   :-\

Thats rigtht Lin, a calendar entry automatically generates a message in the 'News and Events' forum.  That alerts members to the new calendar listing.

ah thanks Theo -  why did it take you so long to answer???  all of 1 minute  ha ha  ;D
next question??  is is ok to put on the calendar about things like a session, or a barn dance, as they are not strictly melodeon related??

Hmm, don't think there is an official way to handle that.

I suppose you could post a calendar event, and then link the new thread to the one that is already there, and possibly lock the new thread?
