I received all the course details this norning. It appears that the only choice is a 2-voice D/G 2.5 row; as I already have one of those that I'm very happy with, I will probably be not be following up. Now if I could build a C/F or a G/C I'd be there like a shot.........

Among others, Saltarelle Pastourelle II D/G; Hohner 4-stop 1-rows in C & G; assorted Hohners; 3-voice German (?) G/C of uncertain parentage; lovely little Hlavacek 1-row Heligonka; B♭/E♭ Koch. Newly acquired G/C Hohner Viktoria. Also Fender Jazz bass, Telecaster, Stratocaster, Epiphone Sheraton, Charvel-Jackson 00-style acoustic guitar, Danelectro 12-string and other stuff..........

It's still not possible to enrol as at 0900 -apparently it takes 24 hours for the course to appear on the system and it wasn't entered until last night. I was told to try again tomorrow morning.

any idea how many others they have?

I see that Katie Howson has emailed it out on her list, so that should pull in a few more.

I'm really wanting to go - just have to hope I can get it cleared by the powers that be in time to get it booked before the course fills up.

When I booked a place a few minutes ago, there were only two places left, so get in quickly if you want one!

Hey, Bob glad to see you up for it - perhaps we can share travelling when we get closer to the time?

I was planning on going on the train  - would you be driving?

Kind of guess that if it is the same as he one row course that you will need a bunch of tools so not sure how train travel would work.

Brian,

Ordinarily, I would be delighted to give you a lift, but I am going down the previous Thursday, so that I can take my wife to see Phantom of the Opera (her preference, not mine!) before the course starts. We are taking our caravan to the site at Crystal Palace and will have our two Newfoundland dogs with us, so there will not be a lot of room in our car even for us!

Lester,

I am another one who would like to know what tools are required. Come to think of it, I am also worried about what skills may be required and whether I possess them or can acquire them in the next few months.

For the one-row courses only basic hand tools had to be brought by the students,  steel rule, pencil, try square, screwdrivers, pliers, that sort of thing, plus an apron.   Nothing that couldn't easily be carried in hand luggage on a train.

So, it seems that the tools might not be a problem. What about the skill level required?
