.....I play it as a reggae hornpipe..

Alan

Exactly the style it should be played, imho.  (:)

In one band I played in, we used to segue into "I Shot The Sheriff"..........

I bet I know whose idea that was...

Can't remember now whether it was Tony or me - I'm really going to miss working with the old bugger.........

Here's a late entry -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awJeUCTWr1s
It's on a Saltarelle Pastourelle III in G/D but with just the MM reeds on.

We have some new cameras ready for next term, Cisco minoHD flip cameras.
So as a test I put one on each end of the melodeon and did the first part of the video of the right hand and the second of the left hand.
The sound is directly from the camera.  You can hear the difference between right and left hand placement.

Nice one Howard,

The box sounds lovely and the video is nice and crisp - well played.

Here's another late entry - only a couple of days to go before the end of the month!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eda-xVrCbzo

I have tried to incorporate the 'funky bass run' C-B-B-A   ;D

One or two little errors in it, in general, I'm afraid   >:(

Cheers

Here is my contribution, made in a historical house, with a historical accordion, and historical people.

I have been on vacation all month, so I am a bit rusty returning to the box. And on top of it, this one is leaky and awkward. But what a lovely noise!

What's the chord that you play in about the 5th bar of the B music?  It seems to be Fundamental B + G chord.

You're right, it's a Gmajor first inversion.  A G chord with a B bass. I often use it as a transition from G to C.

Very nice, already been experimenting with it. I am finding that having a  box with no thirds (the Pariselle self made one) is encouraging me to try things out which I had not done before, despite that fact that my Mori has a stop for the thirds, I'd never really tried it.

Is there a resource somewhere which will help me with other options like this?  I normally only use the Am (A and C pull) as well as the normal ones.
