The Leavenworth International Accordion Festival http://www.accordioncelebration.org is happening on the 16th thru the 19th of June in the Cascade mountain town of Leavenworth Wa. Although the event is billed as International, the underlying theme is Bavarian, as the town of Leavenworth has adopted a distinct Bavarian motif. It's an easy drive from Seattle over scenic Steven's Pass, and within striking distance of Portland, Vancouver, etc.  Here's a video of one of the guest performers, Jelena Milojevic, who will also be acting as an adjudicator for the competitions. BTW, there is a category for diatonic boxes within the competitions. Anyone thinking of attending?
