Old Molly Oxford

Any advice on how to play this tune. I've got it nailed in the key of G....but I'm not sure what chord to end on; using C at the moment.

All the best,
Phil

You do have a few choices but the musical progression is to the shord of C if you are playing the tune in G.

I have only ever heard it played in D which gives the choice of ending on a G or and Em chord.

Not necessarily the right way to play it, and I'm doing it in D, but it could work in G and end on a C chord.

The tune's a good example of an exception to the "last note = keynote" rule.

Or indeed a C.

If you don't mind things not being resolved, end on the B part, but if you want things resolved, end playing the tune on the A part.
