Finnish Melodeons
« on: August 23, 2008, 06:28:23 PM »

Does anyone know anything about these instruments.  16 Basses, 2 row, 5 registers, 4 reeds treble and base.  Guistozzi shows one on his web site http://www.giustozzi.it/Catalogo/vetrina/catalogo_eng.asp?IdC=C0030&PCat=;0;C0035;C0030; but what keys ?  Is the bass Stradella ?  Is it B/C type configuration ?  Anyone ever heard or played one.  Couldn't find anything on YouTube.

No keyboard maps on this site either !

I think the key is G/C or C/F, but I think that is possible make also B/C keys. The bass side is unisonoric. In here Finland this system is quite popular.
There is G/C bass side diagram and also herein is picture M.Luukinen accordion. 16 Basses, 2 row, one register, treble 3 reeds and bass 4 reeds.

Hi Aaro

Thanks for that.  It looks like an ideal system with the unisonoric basses.  Why are both the G and E buttons highlighted ?

Do you know of anyone playing one on Youtube ?
