Anahata:

I'd have gone  A11/M11/M25/M40 and Google maps seems to agree with me on journey time, though your route is actually shorter.
Less scope for getting lost too...

Yeah, now you see my dilemma : M25 - N'hmpton Ring Road,  M25 - N'hmpton Ring Road, choosey choosey. Devil or the Deep to a poor traveller. No, I'll risk the ring road, give myself plenty of time, stock up with provisions - extra hard-tack, phrase book, aluminium foil  for emergencies....I'll make it!

The M25 is a bit of a mess M11 - M40 at the mo due to large widening works just prior to the M1 anticlockwise. So I vote for Northampton.

The M25 is a bit of a mess
understatement of the year Lester  ;D

I have one day to look at the tunes but want to look at tune of the month.
I would say being familiar with the tunes and playing them as a rough sketch is probably better than learning them thoroughly.
My panic is decreasing a little as the years go by. :Ph

Cheers

A couple of weeks ago I read the best part of a novel whilst static on the M11 due to an accident ahead, this after losing half an hour on the M25, on the way back from Kent.  Why would anyone choose to live/work anywhere which required regular use of this nightmare length of tarmac?? ???

For once I have managed to arrive on time! Sat in my b&b with delicious hot chocolate  :D what time does the session start? If anyone wants to join me for food, I shall probably wander down to that Thai on the corner without my usual companions shortly.

Well that is that over for another year. A good time seems to have been had by all. Just the school to be put back together by the stewards ;)

Well, I for one had a great weekend. Some wonderful fun (and very instructive!) workshops, although I will need at least a week of recovery before I even *think* about trying to put both hands together in Bright Sparks again. My poor brain! Thanks to all who came to the meal - winning haikus and limericks will be up here for you all to admire sometime in the next couple of days  (:)

It was all right handed for me. Wrist is getting better. My thanks to Chris Gardener fro my MelNet badges.

What a good job that we'd had
   L'Inconnu d'Limoise
as TOM on MelNet last year. That was one of the tunes Geert (Von Humperdink :|bl) had for us. Hope we did it proud.

Enjoyed meeting you all at the Emmanuel Paraselle reunion too. He's a probable tutor for next year. Goody, goody.

Cheers  :|glug
