Quintet (now sextet) à Claques
« on: November 11, 2011, 08:58:42 AM »

See http://www.sextetaclaques.fr/albums/la-marque-rouge  Not a lot of melodeon in there but it's a really good source of tunes in the current bal style - trad but jazzy.  Camille Passeri (trumpet) is a superb musician who you'll sometimes see on stage with Milleret/Pignol or their current group MKF.  He seems to be the driving force in the group and author of most of its tunes. Plays with much swing - I'd describe his trumpet style as 'Cuban'. A  young man to watch IMHO.

The page linked above has samples of all the tracks. Then unusually if you click "télécharger les partitions" it links through to full printed music PDF's.

You can buy the album at boutique.mustradem.com.  La Marque Rouge seems to be a double CD.  Can I wait until February to buy these?
