Selective thread block
« on: December 04, 2011, 12:31:58 PM »

This may be in the wrong place.  Is it possible, having once posted in a long running thread, to opt out of being notified of every new posting to that thread ?

Click on the 'notify' button again and it will give you option of un-notification.

Now tried the notify button.  There is no un-notification option just a notification option.  However if you press this and accept notification a second press then allows de-notification.  I've done it on two topics.  The conundrum is that if it works I won't know !!!

Yeah, good idea, that Name Change thread is going on a bit - who'd want to start a thread like that?  >:E Now, what was that button again???

There are also some notification controls in your own profile.  Go to 'Profile', then 'Notifications and Email'.

Back again having twiddled and failed and then realised I had phrased my question incorrectly.  Not ever having noticed the 'Notify' button I asked about not being notified when I should have asked about stopping threads in  "Show new replies to your posts,"

Delete your posts in that thread. I've resorted to that on a couple of occasions!
