I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Take inspiration from your sig and call  yourself "Too many Martins"
That would be impossible - there can never be too many Martins

If there were a Martin I, it might be possible to have too many...

My husband had two friends at university called Martin, and due to their student-era haircuts were, and are still, known as Short Haired Martin and Long Haired Martin.  However, when I met Long Haired Martin, he had long since got a more office-friendly haircut.  So a short haired man was introduced to me as Long Haired Martin, which confused the hell out of me.

I know a John, a Jon, and a Jono (so called because his is spelt JonOthan).  I know a Steve, a Stephen, a Steven a Stefan and a Stefano, and very conveniently they all spell it differently which makes life much easier.  I know two Sams, one male, one female.

All part of life's rich pageant.

My name was meant to be a clever nod to my liking of Doctor Who on a Doctor Who forum....and I sorta stuck with it for everything.
(When first on t'internet used my first name and everyone confused me with others of the same name all the time.)

Mine is a nod to two things that I do - being a night owl (I have a sleep disorder to the point that I have a doctor's note, hormone tablets and am excused mornings at work - arrive at 11 am), and I speak Esperanto.

As has been said previously, a good pseudonym follows you around.  You can pretty much be sure that anyone on any forum called "Strigulino" is probably going to be me.

It is claimed that the Famous Angel Morris Men of Islington could once field a whole side of Daves.

I've met at least two of them.
By the time I joined in the 90s they were struggling to field a team of six dancers by any name...

You er .. didn't consider a name change then?  ;)

We've had this in my own family. #1 son had a somewhat "medieval" name that I'd registered only because it seemed better than the others his mother had suggested!  He'd been "Fred the foetus" and at 14 was still "Fred". As bank a/c and forthcoming passports weren't gonna match :o it was "deed poll" time

It is sort of strange how names stick.  For example, I'm actually named Penny, after my grandmother Florence.  "Eh?", I hear you ask.

It does make sense, really.  Penny was her nickname, and that's what everyone called her.  Presumably she didn't want to be a Flo.

Perhaps we should all just change our name to Spartacus Dave. ;D ;D

It would save me all the embarrassment of forgetting peoples names.
