Sharps & Flats
« on: September 16, 2008, 10:20:49 PM »

I have a one row cajun accordion.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to play sharp and flat notes on this box, by a single or combination of keys.

Any advice will be appreciated.

assuming (from your previous posting) that your box is in C the answer is that it doesnt have any accidentals (sharps & flats) so none can be played.  That is not however the same as aying that you can't play tunes that contain a few sharps or flats  as it is sometimes possible to 'fake' them  by substitution, ommision or   cover up particularly if they are notes of very short duration. The longer the note the more difficult it is to fake. If all else fails you can cause a diversion on the bass by grabbing a big handful i.e both spoons hard down together whilst you craftily fly past the missing accidental.

Fake it! And if everybody starts staring your way, just stay cool and pretend someone else farted.

Have fun! ;D

Thanks for your advice.

Farting may be the better option.  :D

Seriously... thank you
