Oh dear, just remember anything t'other side of Bristol is 'north' to me......
and my Google translater can't cope ;D

Your Kent resident northern translator is available with one or two caveats. Ow't north of Darlington up to Edinburgh is Theo territory. North of Edinburgh you're pretty much on your own!

"a'll get sum tripe n' elder in fer me tea!" - to be more idiomatically correct, this should read "a'll get sum tripe n' elder in fer us teas!" Eee ba gum!  :-*

My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Change of plan. It's the Royal at Dungworth for my "tunes, beer and fun".
Managed to get their last room .. Kelham Tavern for more of same Sunday :|glug

Won't tell you who I'm meeting - as I don't know  :P

PS:That Abbess was quite lovely.  My w/e produced a super "Orange and Blue" with Mike Wild at lunchtime  - one of best yet. Concertina and Melodeon go really well together, and when he took over tune it all went ballistic. Like Derek - was hungover from previous night, but isn't unplanned music great!  8)

That would mean my first guess is probably correct.  ;D

Well that was just a great weekend .... "Wall to Wall" melodeons and tunes with a MELNET friend! (all obvious when you see the video)
Here's a short video to show the 2 of us playing:  The Abbess written by Andy Cutting played on a Castagnari EVO CF melodeon and an improvised harmony line added by me playing Bernard Loffet PRO CF melodeon (with a hangover)
A quick take of a great tune following a meeting of melodeon minds for the weekend in Suffolk UK (but not @ Mendlesham) ;D
