??? Where is Idbury Hill ? - or is it Sidbury Hill the tune refers to ? If it is - why has the "S" dropped off ?

It is here

Where the green arrow is

Interestingly there appears to be an earthwork of some sort surrounding it

... in fact its original title was Saut du Lapin ...

Thank you for this hint - whith the french name I found a tabulature sheet which is very helpfull if one can't read music :-)

http://www.organetto.info/archivio/file/0097_saulap_folk.pdf

Gruss aus Deutschland!

Warning!  That tablature is for a very different tune....with some similarities to the Mr J one.
E.g. the Mr J version is like a schottische in 4/4, I think.  But this tab is like a jig in 6/8
Hope that helps.

Here's another setting to 'Callum's Road' that is viable alternative the setting given previously.  The high f# in the first bar of the other setting sounds out of place to my ear.

P: Calum's Road
C:Donald Shaw
Z:2009 John Chambers <jc:trillian.mit.edu>
N:Written in tribute to Malcolm "Calum" MacLeod, who single-handedly built
N:a two-mile road from his croft on the Isle of Raasay to the nearby town
N:of Fladda when the local council wouldn't pay to have it built.

So for over a year, at feeding time, a white magician's type rabbit has appeared. He patiently waits for a graham cracker, hops a few yards and nibbles it from square to round to gone. after a moment of thought he hops back into the brush. I like to think of those moments rather than him in the pot. Bunny Hop or Rabbit Stew gets my vote. Thanks Marje for the title thread.

Rabbit Stew, Saut du Lapin, Scottish a Catinaux,...I'm really not sure where one tune ends and the next begins, but I find the whole notion of these variants intriguing so it gets my vote. I've never voted and I have no clue how to post a video, but will at least work on the tune(s) and see what comes of it.
