At last, had time to put this on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVmSDTPVGL8

My Oakwood makes a return here - one or two people have wondered what happened to it as I've been playing the Dino Special so much recently. The Oakwood gets taken out regularly for all dance events and is alive and well.

As the for the tune, after wondering about playing it as a Schottische I decided it really works best as a reel, which is how I've always heard it. So I put on a little bit of speed...

PS couldn't make up my mind which version of B music to play, so offered both as a variation.

Anahata, that is just a superb interpretation!  I particularly liked the syncopated bass punches on the last B's - I've been trying to do those too, but you've just shown how it ought to be done.

Great tune which I admit I didn't vote for, but have really enjoyed picking up.

..and to follow on from Steve's feedback on my Feb ThOTM video posted earlier - lot less bass end wriggle on this one  (:)

Great inspiration!  Gives me something to aim for in working further on the tune.

I have found it difficult to get motivated with this tune even though there have been some greats posts.
Another drone experiment which well and truly cooked the Rabbit :)

I post it after an interval of several months.
I played on Vander Aa of the Netherlands.
I got the box about 10 years ago, I use it mainly.

Here is my rabbit now. I have two versions: The first one was too fast and the rabbit was hopping away. The second tune that is on Youtube now is more satisfied (perhaps because the rabbit was so tasteful). And I remember the song from which I know this rabbit:

"In a cottage by the woods, A little old man by the window stood. He saw a rabbit hopping by Knocking at the door. Help me! Help me! Help! he said or the hunters will shoot me dead ! Come little rabbit come with me ,you will be my dinner."  >:E

Fortunately, know I have another rabbit tune. :||:

Here it is on an FR18, rather slow in the manner of a Schottische.
It's recorded on an iPAD2, not connected directly but just picking up the sound from the speakers you can see behind.
You can hear the button noise more than usual because of this.

Nice playing Howard, but however I try my ears just don't like those electronic sounds.

Nice to hear the keyboard noise though! Is that genuine key noise, or part of the sound samples?

Nice to hear the keyboard noise though! Is that genuine key noise, or part of the sound samples?

The keyboard noise in this case is real although the instrument does add keyboard noise when asked. The synthesized noise is at the end of the note so it's really pallet noise.

End of the month folks, and on to a new tune! Late additions as ever always welcome, just stick them on the end here.

I've made a tablature for it (different from my friend YC 27320's, because it's a push-pull one), if anybody interested ...  :|||:
