:( post festival First inn Last Out update ...........

after an excellent week with the pub packed with folkies the landlords did a flit on Sunday

:||: the FILO folk are temporarily homeless ... again  ::)    will post when we've got a new session venue  :|||:

p.s.  George's 'Beginners Workshop' was great and the 'elderly Austrian' was going to get his first public outing to the FILO this Saturday  ::)

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

oh dear!

was that for the landlords flitting from the FILO or the thought of innocent listeners being subjected to a melodeon debut?  ;) :|||: ;D

Have mercy on Pikey - he's just found out that he might have to organize an Ebor Morris "Trip to Whitby"!  >:E

I'm a Yorkie!
My other melodeon's a fiddle, but one of my Hohners has six strings! I also play a very red Hawkins Bazaar in C and a generic Klingenthaler spoon bass in F.!! My other pets (played) are gobirons - Hohner Marine Band in C, Hohner Tremolo in D and a Chinese Thingy Tremolo in G.

Update to update  ;D

:( post festival First inn Last Out update ...........

after an excellent week with the pub packed with folkies the landlords did a flit on Sunday

:||: the FILO folk are temporarily homeless ... again  ::)    will post when we've got a new session venue  :|||:

in what must be one of the swiftest resurrections of a Folk session .....  the FILO Folk are back in the First Inn   ;D

we're harder to kill off than vampires          :||:

the new, hopefully permanent, landlord made enquiries yesterday morning about getting the session running again and by lunchtime he'd met one of the organisers, the word had gone out and at 8pm there were instrument cases stacked against the walls with playing/singing starting  :||: ;D :|||:  ..... and the 'Austrian' had his first public playout.. 'Plaisir d'Amour' and 'Lineka Polka'  :|||: ;D

a mix of singers and musicians, lately there have been lots of singers with guitars/mandolins, an appalachian dulcimer, auto harp and 1 concertina player ......  + 1 much admired melodeon when Tufty dropped by during Folk week   :||:

the song repertoire ranges from Jake Thackray to music hall and serious traditional,  tunes come from all over  ;D
