UK FOLK MUSIC
« on: April 13, 2012, 03:14:00 PM »

Now I know that this isn't really melodeon related in a way (if at all) but I hope it might interest members who are interested in Folk Music in general...

Back in Novemeber 2011 I launched UK Folk Music website and we have been steadily tweaking features and adding bits here and there and all the while climbing in Google. Search 'folk music' in Google and this morning and we are 5th in the listings..

We about to re-launch 'FOLKWAVES' which used to be on BBC Radio Nottingham for over twenty three years, and we have the original presenters Mick Peat and Lester Simpson ( of Coope, Boyes and Simpson) back behind the microphones.

As preparation for the Folkwaves show - I have been presenting my own internet show FolkRise and we are steadily gaining followers.

The new websites are
UK Folk Clubs - which is a Folk Club website and features a National Folk Club Diary which is searchable.

Folk Music Artists
This website is something I have been attempting to crack for over six months and not known how to present the information. Basically it's a website to host an index for Folk Music Performers and can be used as a web presence for artists and performers and is searchable with great quality webpages.

The advantage of the Artist Website is that we receive thousands of visitors in a month and they are more likely to find and artist if they are included in the UK Folk Music 'umbrella' on the artist pages. If the public don't know where YOUR site is, they often won't find you.
It's FREE to register and put your own details on the web  pages at the moment - we will be charging eventually. Get in while it's free.
http://folkmusicartists.co.uk/wordpress/  is now http://www.folkmusicartists.co.uk/

Main UK Folk Music website is here: http://www.ukfolkmusic.co.uk

Thanks for your indulgence, I hope you will find the Web sites of use.

The Folk Music Artists website is really taking off - loads of people have registered already after just over a month.

That's because you are using the wrong URL!  ::)
Try this:

I had to move the website to a new server and re-install WordPress - glad you found it.
