I've been singing it for about 40 years now, and can have a go at ABC if no one else offers

Though a simple mp3 will be easier.  Can you do ABC?

I'm afraid that I can't do ABCs like that.

Sorry - ABC is just an internet code that translates in an interpreter into either dots or a playable music midi or equivalent file. What is it that you want to end up with? I'm happy to do this as a favour but need to know where you want to end up, or otherwise waste a fair bit of time ...

I am unable to translate MP-3, which as far as I know is just music, into ABC notation (if all this is the correct terminology.) I can take the ABC notation and turn it into the dots by means of this service: http://music.gordfisch.net/montrealsession/editor.php which is what I've been using for some time.

I've never had any musical training, unless you count when my mother took the time to show me the basics of reading music and how to pick the scale out on a piano. This was in 1953-54, by the way, and I was 8 or 9. I'm not a computer person, either. So a lot of this stuff mystifies me.

All I would like is the ABC notation for this tune. I can get it changed into the dots. I  appreciate very much the time and trouble you - or anyone else - put into this.
