Great stuff. Lovely and rhythmic, and I particularly liked the innovative and inspirational bass end playing.

Nice playing Derek, what boxes did you use?

What we did was one take of recording 4 channels of audio from clip on mics 3 x AKG and a T Bone Mic , so 2 on each box .. Bass and Treble
Then fed live into my iMAC via a 4 channel input MOTU pre-amp 4PRE (Supplies Phantom Power too) with FireWire O/P to MAC

So over a beer we did one live take .. both boxes playing 1x Castagnari MORY (Jimbo) , 1 x Castagnari DONY (Derek)
Made up the improvisation pretty much on the fly and then processed the 4 audio channels a bit on the Mac (LogicPRO)
Hey Presto...

And that was it! ... we were going to do a second track this morning but the hangovers are too bad so we gave up!  :P

Great North Run is a cracking tune, and you've certainly given it the treatment there. Nice one.

I usually follow GNR with 'All-a-siden'.

Love it. Look forward to the CD. You make tunes sound so rich like whipped double cream.
