Beginner workshop autumn on Exmoor
« on: June 09, 2012, 08:40:13 AM »

Following the sucessful workshop at this year's Dulverton Folk Festival I am trying to guage response to running a one day couse either late September or Early October. We would use The Heritage Centre in Dulverton which is full of lovely pubs and cafes. B and B is available and camping/caravan sites are nearby. We would look at
- Principles of the instrument such as understanding diatonic structures
- Exercises to speed up learning such as scales intervals and arpeggios
- How to approach the learning of tunes
- Where resources can be found

The day would be focused on D/G boxes but would be of use to anyone starting to play either a single row or a 2/3 row with rows a fifth apart.

Anyone up for it ?
Course would be free but we would make a small donation to the centre (suggest £5 each)
