A Euphonika ... ??
« on: July 03, 2012, 08:15:58 PM »

Anyone ever come across one of these before or heard them play? Euphonika
Interesting idea with a mechanical box with fake buttons if you have had to many performances in one day and need to rest the fingers...  ;D

This one is of course also from Musikmuseets database as mentioned in this thread, Musikmuseet

Brilliant - you Pump the air and the mechansim opens pallets with the Disc .............. kinda like the Bandoneon version of a Pianola

A Bandonenonola ?  Melodeonola ?, Accordiola .. all fit better than "Euphonika" , what Berk thought of that ? sounds like a large reed powered brass band instrument (cross between Euphonium and Harmonika)

Still squeezing after all these years.
Mostly on hohners , with a couple of Dinos and a smattering of anglos - and now a Jeffries duet

Not unlike a Tanzbar Concertina in concept.

I saw one of these recently but not in playable condition.
