Recommended iPad ABC app?
« on: January 07, 2012, 04:57:54 PM »

My new ipad (a work toy) arrives next week.

Is there a good ABC editor/player app?

Any other suggested apps for the melodionista?

Thanks, Andy

Can anyone suggest a good abc editor/viewer for iPhone? More interested in viewing scores from abc files than editing, particularly - and being able to see the score on the titchy screen!

Cheers

Tunebook is amazing. One of the many things I miss now I have an HTC (well, did... until I lost it on Saturday. ::)).

Just bought the iphone version after reading this thread and agree it is a cracking little app. Might even help persuade me to go for an ipad as the bigger display would make it even better. I have found some help here (http://www.jhlabs.com/tunebook) but can't find any reference to how to delete individual tunes; only option I can see is to delete all tunes. If anyone knows how, I'd be grateful.

Yes, thanks for the suggestion. I now have it and it looks good. Wonder if Lester is on commission?

I'm using Tunebook on the iPad a lot, and it's certainly improving my music reading.
But..

Does anyone know how to start playing a tune from anywhere? Every time you press start it goes back to the beginning. It means that when I'm stuck in the middle of line 5 I have to listen back from the beginning, and by the time it gets to line 5 I've lost track of the bit I was concentrating on.
Does any Tunebook user have a work around? I've been cutting the tunes into tiny bits i.e. one tune for every section or line, but it seems a bit messy.
Thanks
Steve
