So, my question to you dear friends is:

What is your most enduring experience combining food, music and melodeon?

Sticky fingers.

When the food appears at a session I'll instinctively grab a sausage roll with tomato sauce or a bit of baklava dripping in honey. Someone starts playing a good tune and I end up with sticky goo all over the buttons (on both my melodeon and my shirt) as I forget myself and join in  :||:

November 1983. Victoria Halls, Forfar. My first introduction to Sottish country dance catering: Two intervals - the first for tea, sandwiches, cakes and the raffle and the second for jelly and ice cream.
