Flann O'Brien's A Pint of Plain
« on: June 05, 2020, 09:22:56 PM »

Flann O'Brien's poem A Pint of Plain set to a fine tune - though I'm afraid I have been unable to find out who composed it.

It makes a fine hymn to beer, and to be fair I rather like beer...

"Plain" is of course Porter, which in Hiberno-English stands in much the same relation to Stout (e.g. Guinness) as Mild does to Bitter in the English lexicon.  ::)

And a fine rendition sir...Slainte Mhath duitse :|glug
