I’ve found a couple of mentions of this beautiful tune on here and found a lovely version by Martin Ellison https://youtu.be/HB0R8tX9Mgc
Does anyone have the dots for this or abc for d/g melodeon or for g/c please?

Slight correction - the dance is a gavotte de l'Aven "caresse"- a simplified gavotte style developed in SW and central France, expressing only the central, lilting, and beautifully hypnotic 4-in-line part of the dance. And it's wonderful to dance to  (:)

It would not be accepted as a gavotte in the Aven valley, where they dance a whole suite of moves including single couple bits.  I might seem pedantic … but in the end this is truly a living tradition, and they are entitled to their view.

I have to say that the pauses and lilt of Toon's tune match the dance better than some traditional airs. But it IS a new style!
